Facilities: The complex allows to carry out local affections treatments with the minimum damage of head brain tissues.
The technology of a low invasive neurosurgery involves
MR scanning with the navigating device, computer surgical operation
planning with determination of local affection coordinates and optimum
trajectory of the stereotaxic surgical tool penetration into the area of
a local affection, surgical treatment with the help of stereotaxic system,
which is fixed to the navigating device. The complex provides penetration
of the tool into the area of affection with the use of micro boring
of a skull and with the minimum damages of the vital brain structures.
Software of the complex also allows to form and
to support of computer images bank in the interactive mode, to provide
computer image processing and to form quantitative diagnostic parameters.
The complex consists of the navigating device, stereotaxic
system, automated working place for tomographical images processing and
computer planning of surgical operation.
The software technical complex takes root into clinical
practice of the Ukraine Medical Sciences Academy Institute for Neurosurgery
named academician S. P. Romodanov.
